There are moments in life when everything feels broken, when the path disappears and silence fills the space where hope used to live. Nothing Is Wasted was born out of one of those moments.
The song was inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold. I’ve always found that image profoundly moving, the idea that something becomes more beautiful not despite its scars, but because of them.
When I envisioned the song, I wanted to express that same truth through sound: that grace transforms what we thought was lost, that healing doesn’t erase the wound but fills it with light.
The refrain, “Every tear I cried will turn to rain,” reminds me that even our sorrow can nourish something new.
Amahoro means peace in Kirundi. And peace, for me, is not the absence of pain, it’s the quiet confidence that love is still working in the unseen.
Every stream of this song supports Burundi Action, helping children who are learning, day by day, that their lives too are precious, that nothing in them is wasted.
“Every scar becomes a vessel of light when touched by love.”
I’d love to hear how this song speaks to you. What has grace repaired in your own life?
